Song of the Day: Anytime, Any Place by Janet Jackson

Wow. I never realized how much clearer my computer screen is after I dust it. It's like I can see again!

But enough about my cleaning habits. I am in a good mood. My Suns won, I ate some really good food, my Fatso damn near jumped Bitchy for some food (a good sign that he's feeling OK), and I get to see one of my best friends in 5 days.

Speaking of Fab, I can't wait to go see her. I really miss her. I think she's feeling the same because we keep writing and calling each other. Alot more than we had been. It's funny how you can take your friends for granted when they are only 5 traffic lights away. I mean, it's taken her moving 300+ miles away for her to call me at least once a week. But I just think it's got something to do with us realizing that things change and we have to make a better effort at maintaining our friendship.

But while things change, they also stay the same. We got into it about where I am going to stay when I visit. When I first started planning this trip I ASKED her if she wanted to say with me at a hotel and she said yes. Well, it's my own fault because I KNOW her and of course she forgot and wanted to know when my flight came in so she could have the apartment ready for me. "Huh?" I said. I wasn't going to stay at her place and neither was she I reminded her. No she said. Stay here and save your money. But you don't have the room for me I said, finding any excuse to NOT stay in the same place as the fucking boyfriend. But damnit if she wouldn't take no for an answer. So yeah. I am staying with her. Them. Him. FUCK. Oh well. This means I will just have to plan girly things for us to do, which I planned on anyways but more so now. Oooh. By that time it'll be time for another waxing. Yeah! Espeically, since by then I will really want to go all wild with the tweezers.

Off the subject. Oh!! Today she wanted to know if I wanted him to pick me up from the airport instead of me taking the shuttle to their place. "Hell no" I was saying to myself but I couldn't tell her that. I just said that I would be ok & that by the time I get there they'll be home anyways and it's really not worth it for them to take off work, especially since they need the money. I think she finally saw my point but I know her hard headed ass will try to find a reason for me to not take the shuttle.

So Thursday, Kai and I went to the State Fair for the Gavin DeGrew concert. Well, not for the concert totally. Partially to get our grub on. Oh that was some good eatin'. Kai and I came to the conclusion is the reason you get so sleepy after you eat at the fair is because the grease is slowly closing causing your arteries to scream and close and blocking the oxygen you need to remain awake and active. Yeah. That's not gonna stop me from getting that deep fried Rocky Road candy bar on the 5th though.

The concert was fun though. After we ate the 1st time, we went walking around and found ourselves in the Colisium and heard the sound check for the concert. We also found ourselves the backstage entrance too. We so could have gone backstage but these damn bratty ass teenagers fucking ruined our chance. Oh well. Anyways. We get inside and they are selling stuff so we get inline and find out that if you buy a shirt then you get to meet Gavin after the show! That's a selling point if I ever heard one. So a shirt, 4 buttons, and 2 stickers later I am set. We also run into Michelle's concert hopping buddy Tiffany but she was without her this time. Anyways. We both finally get our shit and go to our seats which even though they weren't on the floor they were pretty darn good. Right on the freakin' corner. I finally got the chance to test out my 90 zoom camera so hopefully those pictures will come out. He basically did the same show from Chicago which was cool because he sang the "Drink Her Til She's Cute" song. But he didn't sing More Than Anyone. Oh well. He was really nice and even though I couldn't get a picture with him, I did get my program signed. Kai did too but not where she wanted. He had like an identity crisis and signed all over the picture of Rob Thomas instead of his picture right next to it. That's kinda of funny but Kai wasn't laughing.

Off for a General Hospital coma.
