Song of the Day: Karma by Lloyd Banks
I would like to take this time to blame Joss Whedon and the entire cast of Firefly for my complete and utter lack of updates. (Well not completely. There has been other stuff going on but it's mostly their fault. And as always, a special shout out to the Hellspot. Especially, on my 3 years there.) Continuing, to blame Joss Whedon. Yes, for the past two weeks, every night when I come home from another glorious night at the Hellspot, I have put myself into a well deserved Firefly coma. I told myself I wasn't going to get involved with this because Joss Whedon has a tendency to get me heavily obsessed and then break my heart. But I read some blurb about the upcoming movie in Entertainment Weekly and was like what the hell. What can 11 episoded of a cancelled, FOX show do to me? So I borrowed the set from Patty and have become HOOKED! Because really. How can you not love space cowboy crooks who do right? And you can NEVER go wrong with naked Nathan Fillion and Ron Glass and his Albert Einstein hair. I finally finished the set tonight and yes, my heart was broken but I am hoping it will be healed on Friday when I go see the movie. With someone or not, I will be in a theatre on Friday. I encourage everyone to do the same. See Serenity!! Not just because the show was awesome and deserves some recognition, but also because if it becomes a hit and shows that Joss Whedon can bring in the money, it might bring me, I mean everyone, a Buffy or Angel movie. And of course more Serenity movies. And really that's all we want.
Well, besides my Firefly coma, work and spending gross amounts of money at Arizona Mills, I did manage to go to two concerts in 3 days. Since Jodeci flaked on me and Kai and we were in Cali anyways, I decided if I couldn't relive my junior high days with them, I would do it with Xscape at the House of Blues in Hollywood. That was awesome. But someone should have really told me not to go to Hollywood on Emmy night. Oh well. Then when we came back, we went to Jason Mraz. That was ok. He likes to rock out which is all well and good, but I was still tired from Xscape and Universal Studios. (Where, by the way, there were TONS of Serenity ads. I so wanted to steal one.) I did manage to get pretty close and take some cool pics though.
Time for bed. I really need a new layout. Damn picture host. BUYING A GOLD MEMBERSHIP FRIDAY!!!
